WHY SERENITY WORKS

12-Step focused recovery

At Serenity, our program is grounded in the principles of recovery and is surrounded by the guidance of the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions. We encourage residents to build a strong foundation of honesty, accountability, service, and personal growth while living in a safe and supportive environment. The 12 Steps provide a pathway for spiritual and emotional healing, while the 12 Traditions promote unity, respect, and fellowship within the recovery community. By embracing these principles, residents are empowered to develop healthy lifestyles, strengthen their recovery, and build meaningful, productive lives free from alcohol and drugs.

Serenity Properties is dedicated to safe, affordable, and structured recovery housing for individuals seeking a stable foundation in recovery. Through our residences, we offer a supportive environment where residents can focus on personal growth, accountability and long-term recovery.

Located in St. Lucie County, our homes are designed to bridge the gap between treatment and independent living. We understand that recovery extends beyond abstinence -- it involves rebuilding relationships, securing employment, developing healthy routines, and creating meaningful life in the community.

    WHAT THE COMMUNITY IS SAYING

    What is FARR?

The Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) was founded in 2011 out of the need to evaluate and monitor standards-based recovery support services provided in community-based, residential settings throughout Florida. FARR is the Florida Affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR).

    FARR'S Commitment to Sober Living

FARR is committed to providing fair, impartial support and encouragement to recovery residence providers who express a willingness to achieve compliance with the NARR Standard and FARR Code of Ethics. FARR is further committed to participate in academic research studies focused on ROSC, Recovery Management, and residents’ personal development of Recovery Capital.

    File a Grievance

    File a grievance here

The FARR grievance process is intended for serious and relevant issues, please give us an opportunity to better serve you by addressing your concerns with a program administrator or house manager before filing a formal grievance with FARR. Thank you.

    NARR Standards Followed

The industry has evolved to become far more professional and intentional in its language, primarily through the efforts of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR). What was once known as a halfway house, three-quarter house, transitional house or sober living home now falls under the heading of recovery residence.
